QUIT's Trustees

Peter Brice, Chair

Peter became Chairman of Trustees in April 2011. He started his career at Gillette in commercial roles, before joining Black and Decker, Thorn EMI and WH Smith. He sat on several UK and European boards before starting his own business in media, consultancy and international rights negotiation. He currently advises on start ups, acquisition and revenue generation strategies.
Rajit Gholap

Rajit Gholap is a chartered accountant who works for Crown Agents. Prior to this appointment, he worked for 5 years for PricewaterhouseCoopers in advising and working with clients from the Charity, Housing and Local Government sectors. He has also been the treasurer for Interact Worldwide and Tenteleni in the past 5 years.Rajit has worked as a helpline volunteer for 4.5 years, taking calls from young people looking for support. He hopes to use these skills and experiences in the next stage of QUIT’s development. He has been involved with QUIT since 2010.
Anthony Kenney

Anthony Kenney is a retired Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who worked at St Thomas's Hospital in London. He saw many ill effects of smoking  in pregnancy and is concerned about the adverse effects of smoking on reproductive health and on general health. A baby brain-damaged by the mother smoking will suffer lifelong disability. He teaches in Africa on courses designed to reduce the risk of mothers dying in childbirth.
Gay Sutherland

Research Psychologist at the Tobacco Research Unit, Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College and Honarary Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Smokers Trust.
Robin Rotherham

Robin Rotherham is an experienced and successful businessman. He has spent most of his career in the recruitment and sourcing field, working at Managing Director level in a major public company before setting up his own business. As well as his career in the private sector, Robin has spent over 20 years in the charity field, as a Trustee and latterly Chairman of two charities in the health sector. In addition to Southside Partnership, which specialises in the mental health area, he has been a member of Quit’s Board since 1989 and its Chairman from 2001 until March 2011. He remains a trustee of Quit.
Robin Wells

A successful businessman with over 20 years experience in the IT industry, who specialises in fast growth software businesses.

Professor of Health Psychology and Director of Tobacco Research at University College London and one of the world's leading experts in the field of smoking cessation.
