Prestatyn couple win Quitters of the Year Award 2007!
James and Melanie Pritchard, of Prestatyn, North Wales, have won first prize in the Smokefree UK QUIT Awards 2007, and scooped £6,000 of holiday vouchers.
Melanie quit smoking because she wanted to buy the wedding dress of her dreams and turning 30 was the incentive for James to lead a healthier lifestyle. The Pritchards also wanted to be smoke free for their wedding day. They are going to celebrate their win by returning to Santorini where they got married and visiting friends in Australia.
Bolton couple wins £3,000 holiday vouchers in Smokefree UK QUIT Awards!
Michael and Sue Dargan, of Harwood, near Bolton, have won second prize in the Smokefree UK QUIT Awards 2007, and scooped £3,000 of holiday vouchers. The Dargans were one of three pairs to win a prize, in recognition of them quitting smoking for their two children. The Dargans intend to celebrate their win with a family holiday to Disney World in Florida.
The Smokefree UK QUIT Awards are run by QUIT®, the charity dedicated to helping people stop smoking and sponsored by NiQuitin which offers a range of products to help people quit.
Paisley student nurses win £1,000 holiday vouchers in Smokefree UK QUIT Awards!
Gareth Hammond and Alison Cherry, of Paisley, Scotland, have won third prize in the Smokefree UK QUIT Awards 2007, and scooped £1,000 of holiday vouchers.
Friends Gareth and Alison quit smoking in January 2007 after they were accepted to study nursing at university, and realised they would need the money they spent on cigarettes to pay for their course. The pair are going to celebrate their win with a holiday somewhere hot in their break from university.
