Services

QUIT is an industry leader in building smoking cessation services/initiatives across the U.K and Europe and has worked with a range of primary care trusts throughout England to enable them to deliver innovative smoking cessation services.

We have supported PCTs in meeting and exceeding their Department of Health targets for quit rates via our pro-active stop smoking support service for smokers wishing to make a quit attempt. Our approach has proven efficacy, offering the following:

  • Stop smoking counselling sessions

  • Advice and tips on stopping techniques

  • NRT usage advice and provision (in line with PCT guidance and protocols)

  • 7 days a week service. 0900 – 2000 Monday to Friday, 1000 – 1800 Weekends

  • Phone, SMS, Email, Twitter & Skype support

  • Specialist support for recently discharged hospital patients

  • Specialist support for pregnant smokers wanting to quit

Interventions for smokers are best delivered by specialists at a dedicated time over multiple sessions 2 . Our structured outbound counseling sessions can be offered over a 6 or 12 week period and have a total potential contact time with the client of at least 1.5 hours. This is to ensure regular monitoring, client compliance and continual access to pharmacotherapy in line with NHS Stop Smoking Services, Service and Monitoring Guidance 2010/2011.
